Go Tell the Bees

Although Starz released its popular Outlander series in 2014 I didn't discover it until 2017.  It wasn't that I hadn't heard of it or wasn't aware of it.  I was working in a book store at that time and you certainly couldn't be in the book business and not know about Outlander.  It was diffenantly a big seller and I spent many a day restocking it on the bookshelves.  But I'm not really a "romance novel" enthusiast and that's what I thought Outlander was.  And it is, and it isn't.  It has romance, lots of romance, but it has so much more too.  Outlander is really in a genre by itself.  If you're an Outlander fan you know what I mean.  And if you're not...well, this probably isn't for you then.

But in 2017 I decided to check out what all the hub-bub about Outlander was.  You know, for work.  I mean, I needed to be able to answer customers questions and since it was probably our biggest seller I needed to get up to speed.  You can understand my interest, right?  We didn't have a Starz subscription so I signed up for a 7 day free trial.  I figured that was enough time to check it out and get up to speed.  Well, here we are 2021 and I still have a subscription to Starz.  And truth be told, Outlander is the only reason I keep that subscription.  I've since devoured every episode multiple times and I've read the first 3 enormous novels by Diana Gabaldon and I'm currently ready the John Grey novellas and soon to be diving into book number 4 - Drums of Autumn.  Needless to say, I can't get enough Outlander.

2017 also marks the year of my first Outlander inspired kit - Standing Stones which I created with the help of my daughter, Sarah and Amanda from Little Bitty Delights.  Since than I've also released the Lallybroch Knitting Club, the Claire Randall Fraser Bag and 2020,s Claire's Apothecary Care Kit.

And while we are currently in droughlander waiting for season 6 I felt there was no better way to get 2021 started than with my annual Outlander kit release.  This year I've chosen to focus on the yet to be released Go Tell the Bees that I am Gone.  The 9th and speculated last book in the Outlander series.

Each kit will include your choice of either an Adventure Bag (zipper) or Grab n' Go Bag (drawstring).

It will also include an 8 oz. soy candle in Fraser's Ridge.  With warm scents of apple, cinnamon, and cloves wafting through the cool North Carolina mountain air.  With hints of berries, lemon, balsam fir, and cedarwood.

Your hands will love the Pure Honey Lotion Bar.  Made from natural shea butter, beeswax, olive oil, and pure honey fragrance oil.  When your making time comes to an end grab this convenient bar and give it a couple of turns through your fingers to moisturize those hard-working maker hands.

We all like jewelry and making things pretty.  So I've included a progress keeper and stitch marker set.  The stitch markers will help remind you of important points in your pattern and the progress keeper will track your progress. Not just functional but pretty too.  Like jewelry for your knitting.

And last but certainly not least, perhaps the thing I am most excited about in this kit, My brand new wool wash.  I've wanted to bring a wool wash to the shop for a long time.  But I also wanted to make sure it was one that would not only thoroughly clean your hand knits but also condition and protect them.  And of course, I wanted it to smell good.   Made from a natural base soap with coconut oil, apricot oil, and lanolin.  This Lemon Honey Wool Wash is one I can imagine the ladies of Fraser's Ridge making.

All that's needed to create a comfy cozy making moment are needles, yarn and comfy clothes, and maybe a mug of hot cocoa.

But wait...if you thought that was the end.  There's more.

You will also have the option to add a sock set to your Cozy Kit.  Each sock set includes a 100g skein of Honey on Evergreen Sock and a 20g mini skein of Cream.

And the brand new Print Shop will be open where you'll find Outlander t-shirts, mugs, and tumblers you can add to your Cozy Kit.

I am so excited about this new Outlander collection and I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it.

Everything will be available in the shop Saturday, March 6th beginning at 9:00 am. PT.  Hope to see you then.
