Is it too early to start thinking about Halloween? There's only 120 days left to plan your costume, decorations, parties and knitting projects.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. When my children were younger I loved making costumes for them, decorating the house and taking them trick or treating. One year, my friend whom had children the same ages as mine, and I were Room Mother's and we put together a fun party for our children's classes. We dressed up as witches and brought cauldrons of treats. It was a lot of fun and the kids all loved it. Now that my kids are grown we don't decorate the house as much because well...we live in the country and we don't get ANY trick or treaters. And without little ones around to enjoy it it just doesn't seem worth the effort. But perhaps this year will be different as my granddaughter is now old enough to enjoy the fun.
But I couldn't resist finding a way to incorporate the fun of Halloween into The Handmaker's Bag. So I've put together a fun Halloween Kit. Each kit will include your choice of either an Adventure or Road Trip bag plus a Needle Cozy (made to fit any size DPN's or Circular needles), a Progress Keeper/Stitch Marker set and a mini skein. And what would a Halloween Kit be without treats. You will also be able to add on a full skein of yarn in the colorway Witches Brew. This colorway will remain a secret until after the kits ship out.
These kits will go on sale during the witching hour on Friday, July 13th at 3:00 AM. There will be three listings in the shop. Choose your bag style, either Adventure or Road Trip, go to that listing and then choose your fabric from the drop down list of available fabrics for that design. Add that to your cart. If you would also like to add the full skein of yarn to your kit add that listing to your cart before checking out.
The kits will start shipping out in mid September to arrive in early October for your Halloween projects and celebrations. The kits and fabric selections are limited so if you find one that's your favorite grab it before it disappears.
I hope to see you in the shop on Friday the 13th and until then...
Carry a little spooky fun wherever you go.
