Or two or 84,960. But who's keeping track? Maybe you noticed or maybe you didn't but I'm happy to say "I'm Back!".
So where have I been? Good question. Well, nowhere really. I've been right here. Just not online. You see...after taking a little time off to do my year-end bookkeeping and planning I've been involved in a little project called "building a house" and it's taken up most [if not all] of my time. It's been amazing though and I'm excited to say the project is almost done. Soon our new house will be finished and I will be in a brand new studio. And I can't WAIT to share it with you. But in the meantime, let's get down to some shop talk and I'll tell you about what's happening at The Handmaker's Bag in 2020.
Ok, so the first question I bet you have is "What's going on with the Secret Bag Society?". I know how much you loved it and I really loved doing it. But, to my detriment, and as much as I wanted to, I discovered that I just can't cope with doing a "monthly" club right now. So I've suspended it. I may bring it back in the future but as of right now I don't know when that will be. But don't worry, because I've got several other fun clubs coming this year.
Knitters Care Kits
What is a Knitters Care Kit? I'm so glad you asked. A Knitters Care Kit is a specially curated kit to promote the health and wellbeing of knitters [or crocheters]. Each kit will be different but will include an array of items all chosen to provide joy, comfort, and health to makers. Kits will include (but are not limited to) items such as project bags, yarn, candles, body butters and lotions, fragrance sprays, scrumptious treats, candles, and other well being promoting items. The first one is releasing soon and it is a REALLY good one.
New Website & Other Changes
I've been working on a more cohesive branding in the form of a brand new website, logo, marketing materials and packaging. The new marketing materials and packaging will be rolling out soon but you can already take a look at the new website. So have a look around and let me know what you think. You can always leave me your suggestions in the comments below. I really love this new soft look and it really goes with the everyday surroundings of my sewing studio too.
Speaking of the new website, I've made some changes. You may notice that I've gotten rid of the Wish List and I've discontinued my old points and rewards program. I know some of you may be disappointed but I really found that very few people were actually taking advantage of those options. So I chose to dump them and replace them with special discounts just for my email subscribers. So if you're not on my email list now is the time to sign up.
Well...that's all I have for you for now. Look for more information coming soon on the very first Knitters Care Kit. Make sure you're signed up for my email to get all the details sent directly to your inbox. And don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know how you like the new look.
