It's a proven fact that in times of high-stress crafting can relieve some of our anxiety and help calm our nerves. It's also very important to take care of ourselves, both physically and mentally, so we can take care of those we love. Knitters Care Kits are specially curated kits to promote the health and wellbeing of knitters [or crocheters]. And couldn't we all use a little of that right now? Care Kits include an array of items all chosen to provide joy, comfort, and health to makers. The very first of four Care Kit coming this year is releasing March 27th and it is FULL of good things - Claire's Apothecary Care Kit. Specially curated for Outlander fans. But you don't have to be a fan to love this kit.
Included in Claire's Apothecary Care Kit is everything I imagine Claire would give a neighbor in such troubling times, a project bag made from beautiful 100% cotton fabric, a gorgeous 100g skein of merino wool yarn, a jar of luscious whipped body butter, and a delightful beeswax candle.
The bag is made from Rifle Paper Co. fabric in a beautiful herb garden print and you can choose either the Grab n' Go drawstring bag or the Adventure zippered bag. I've dyed up a beautiful skein of teal blue with peachy coral and green speckles on my Evergreen sock base. A squishy merino and nylon blend. I've whipped up a luscious body butter from lavender butter and essential oils that will provide some much-needed relief and nourishment to dry hands and it smells divine. And just to set the mood and delight the senses, even more, I've made a lavender-scented hand-poured beeswax candle just the way Claire would.
You'll find these kits in the shop on March 27th. Just click the Knitters Care Kits tab.
