A couple of weeks ago The Handmaker's Bag reached a milestone. I celebrated my 5 year business anniversary. It's a wonderful achievement and I wanted to do something special to celebrate. It's been a while since I introduced a new bag design and I'd been playing around with an idea that was loosely based on my Grab n' Go bag and also my Road Trip bag. I liked the idea of a larger bottom but I wanted something that could stay open but be shut and keep my yarn from falling out at the same time. (If that makes sense.) The idea being a bag that was pretty so you would want to carry it and not hide it away, that was light, had plenty of room for yarn and project, and you could take your project out to work on it but close up the bag and keep your yarn from falling out as you knit. Not too much to ask right?
